Since the beginning and still going strong! Del Surfboards

Del Surfboards commenced surfboard production in the early 1960's. Founded by Nigel Dwyer an ex Cronulla board builder who is still heavily involved in the industry.

Located in Taranaki, New Zealands most versatile and formidable surfing coastline, Del has manufactured surfboards though all the eras and is still New Zealand's number one board building company.

The factory is situated in Devon St East Strandon, behind the Del Surf Shop, and its managed by Robert Walsh (Walshy), who is one of New Zealand's most experienced shapers with up-to-date techniques, producing the most innovative designs and shapes. Freezing Hot is the shortboard arm of Del and was incorporated in the mid 1980's and has some of the best team riders in New Zealand.
